During the last day of the conference I attended a session that covered microformats for Web coding behavior. This seems like an interesting use of code and definitely worth keeping an eye on, if you want to play with it now the recommendation was made to try it on the Contact page of your site. I was bit disappointed the final session of the day I was waiting for on Web Stats did not happen, so anyone out there that wants to add a comment here about Stats please feel free. I understand Stats, what to look for and what matters most to me in my personal stats and at my org, but I was very interested in hearing from others what they felt the “most important” can’t live without numbers are and any insights into looking at numbers for comparison across different stat packages.
The big themes this year, in my opinion, were online communities/social networks and data integration–Open Source VS. Closed Networks, so what is the future of your data storage and where will your node be in our networked world?
I appreciated the comments on strategic uses of data for reaching our goals, it will certainly help in framing the discussions I have going forward. Lastly, as always, it is good to be around such excellent people that face similar challenges–but more importantly people dedicated and working towards making our world a better place for all. Bravo to the good folks at NTen and good luck to all my colleagues out there for a stellar 2007, I am looking forward to seeing you all again next year!
