What is TED?

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds. Since then its scope has become ever broader.

The annual conference now brings together the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes).

You can watch the lectures on the TED site or download the audio and/or video files to your computer and load them onto your mp3 player.

I have listened to about 10 lectures so far and all have been excellent, entertaining and inspiring. I also just registered to the join the community. It is exciting to hear such great ideas and to know there is a community of people dedicated to pushing big ideas and creating positive change.
